1: Culture –

The Mediterranean has some of the most historical monuments in the world. Give your kids a leg up in their history class and take them to see the Colosseum in Rome. Explore the canals by gondola in Venice. Bask in the sun under the pillars of the Acropolis in Athens, Greece. The experiences are endless as most Mediterranean cruises are jam packed with these ancient sites. Your children will have a deeper appreciation for the efforts by early civilizations and their accomplishments after visiting their works of art. A Mediterranean cruise is a great way to sneak in a history lesson while having fun this summer.

2: Food-

While the architecture in the Mediterranean is amazing, the food is sure to steal the show. Give your children a taste of authentic carbonara and finish it off with fresh gelato. A Mediterranean cruise is a great way to taste your way around Europe. While your kids have probably had pizza before, make a game of it to see which city in Italy makes their favorite. The major cities are known to put their own spin on an iconic dish. Sit on the white and blue rooftops of Santorini overlooking the Aegean Sea dining on fish caught mere feet from where you are.

3: Multiple ports and countries-

Europe is a popular summer destination, but time is not always on your side. A Mediterranean cruise helps save you time while maximizing your ports of call. Spend one day in Naples and wake up the next morning in Barcelona. Traveling the Mediterranean by ship helps eliminate the time wasted in airports. Most destinations can be reached within a few hours, allowing you to sleep during transit taking advantage of your time in the iconic cities. Most cruise itineraries have a port of call every day, the longer you cruise the more you see!

4: Convenience of travel-

Travel by cruise is not only time efficient for ports of call, but also eliminates a lot of stress for traveling parents. There is no security line at airports, no baggage claim, or hotel hopping. You embark on your cruise and each day arrive at a new port of call, all you need to do is get back to the ship on time. Take the stress out of traveling, no reservations to be made or mapping out how to navigate a forgein country. The hard work has been done for you already so you can enjoy your family Mediterranean cruise!

5: No jet lag-

In addition to less stress of traveling, there are no time zone changes on a Mediterranean cruise. Time zone change can be hard on families, especially those with little kids and can make for a less enjoyable trip. When on a cruise ship you remain on the ship’s time, so no changes to your sleep or routine even though you are in a different time zone.

6: Cost efficient-

A Mediterranean cruise is by far one of the most cost efficient methods to see Europe. Between flights, hotels, food, and transportation, a family trip to Europe can be very expensive. Taking a cruise helps offset a lot of these costs. Most cruise lines offer promotions where your kids can even sail for free! Cruises are trying to make a comeback since Covid-19 are prices are at an all time low with very valuable offers. We are taking a cruise in August 2023 and we are able to bring four people for the price of two and upgrade to a balcony suite on Norwegian Cruise line. Other cruise lines were offering free airfare, free wifi, unlimited drink packages, and more!
