Refurbishments and Ride Closures at Disneyland in February 2023:

While the crowds are lower in February, refurbishments are well underway. Here is the current list of ride closures and new attractions:

Tarzan’s Treehouse– this has been shut down since 2021 and it is not set to open until spring 2023. Disney has confirmed the name this attraction will be Adventureland Treehouse Inspired by Walt Disney’s Swiss Family Robinson. We are super excited to see our little guy run around this attraction!

Indiana Jones: Jan 9 – spring –This is a long overdue overhaul. Indiana Jones has been around since 1995 and experiences mechanical failures routinely. Disney has not announced if any changes will be made to the ride.

Grizzly River Run: Jan 9th – TBA

Haunted Mansion Holiday: Jan 30 -Feb 10. – Another annual refurb to take down the Christmas decorations.

Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind: Jan30 -Feb 10.

Toon Town- close- Mar 8

Splash Mountain- closing Jan 23- late 2024 This refurbishment has some controversial emotions tied to it. While the briar patch is nostalgic to long time Disney fans, it has some undertones not everyone appreciates. Either way we can’t wait to see what the Disney Imagineers dream up for Tina’s Bayou Adventure.

Weather at Disneyland in February:

Southern California is known for its warm weather, but it can get rainy and chilly at night. The highs average in the uppers 60s and the lows around 40s, but it has been known to dip below freezing at night. When visiting Disneyland it’s always best to dress in layers and have a water resistant outer layer.

Where to stay at Disneyland in February 2023:

Disney is offering a 20% discount on hotel stays from Jan 9 – Mar 9, terms and conditions apply.

Magic key holders can receive up 25% on the same stay.

We always recommend shopping around as the hotels are walking distance to the resort and can find great rates with Marriott Bonvoy or Hilton Honors members.

Tickets and Passes:

Disneyland is currently offering a discounted ticket to Southern California Residents.

Get 3 week day one park passes for $67 a day. Valid Jan 9 through May 25. Not able to be used on Saturdays or Sundays. Blackout dates and restrictions apply.
